"Say it out loud..."

Okay, I just type it - John watched Twilight with me. He laughed and laughed and laughed some more. I'll have to admit I read the books and I liked them, but I could never understand the hype and excitement over Edward. Come on for real - a skinny, pale, cold to the touch guy - who would want that? Not I. Not when I have John, okay he might be a little pale under his clothes but who isn't. "Say it out loud..." (its a cheesy line from the movie) I love you babe and I know what you are. You're a hard worker. You're a great father. You're a good husband. Thanks for watching Twilight with me.

Fishing at Strawberry

John and Will went fishing this morning with Papa Pete at Strawberry. Once again Will out fished his dad and grandpa with his Spider Man pole. Great job Will!

Deer Creek

On Monday we took the kids to Deer Creek up Provo Canyon in the boat. John and the kids did a little fishing and I just sat there, it was kind of nice. Anyways, Jason was so cute in his life jacket and all he wanted to do was through ice cubes into the water. He fell asleep on my lap while we were driving around and his life jacket was holding up his head. Will loved every minute of it, especially when John let him drive around without any help. At times it was a frightening experience for sister. She would get use to it then a wave or something would knock the boat and she would cry. Eventually she started to like it. We had a lot of fun. Here are some highlights. Will driving the boat.
Emmie in panic mode.

John "helping" Emmie reel in a fish on her Barbie poll. Will caught one on his Spider man poll and John caught none on his Cabela poll. Maybe we should take a lesson and just stick to $14 Walmart specials.

Me and Emmie.

Jason was so sweet. He loved his life jacket.

Family Pictures by Uncle Kjell

Here are some pictures that my little brother took of our family. To get the entire family to cooperate was quite difficult so most of them are individual.

Out of all the pictures this one is my favorite. This picture totally shows the kid's personalities. Will just doesn't care and thinks that this whole picture thing is stupid. Jason is a total goof and Emmie is putting on a show.

Will graduated preschool and Emmie kissed a boy

On Wednesday Will had his last day of preschool, next year he will be going to kindergarten. Will was funny, for the graduation program the class sang a few song and then they were presented with their diplomas. Will was squinting the entire time even though he was sitting in the shade and he would not sing. Sometimes he wanted to sing, but then he would get shy and stop. We love Will and I think that he is ready for kindergarten in the fall.

Emmie and Jason came to Will's graduation and while I was visiting with some of the other moms apparently Emmie kissed Will's friend. William told me all about it in the van on the way home and Emmie had the guiltiest face - She was grinning ear to ear. Later that night I was telling my mom about it and Emmie said, "yeah, Grandma I just grabbed him and kissed him." It was funny! Is it a good thing that she is only three?

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies.

Will asked me on friday when it was going to be "Children's Day." So if you know when it is tell me because I am just a kid.

The things we have been doing...

Well it has been a long time since I posted anything last. In the last month we have done alot. First major accomplishment was that we finished the basement - at least a family room and a play room. It has been wonderful to send the kids downstairs to play. We no longer have a TV in the kitchen/livingroom upstairs and I love it. We finally got cable. (Cable was John's "reward" for finishing the basement, oh and a huge TV).

Our family went to St. George with the Gerber side of the family over Spring Break. We enjoyed the warm weather and a fun realizing time with the kids. The kids were so great for the car ride down. Will only asked a couple of times if we were there yet. We did a little bit of hiking, my favorite, some swimming and alot of eating out. we actually went to Denny's twice in one day. On our first visit we learned at kids eat free for dinner that night so we went back.

And a few weeks ago we found out that #4 is going to be a boy. Boy oh boy...we are excited! I am just afraid that the boy clothes are not going to make it another round.

Here are a few random pictures from the last month...

Here is sister "crazy eyes" and Jason helping with the dishes. Lately Emmie has been crossing her eyes so much that they might just get stuck. Just kidding, but let's hope not.

Here is John slaving away in the basement. Here he is painting. John's a good painter. He painted the basement better than the professional guys we hired to paint upstairs.
This picture is sidewards - just turn your head.

Here is a picture the very next weekend, which was Easter. Here is Jason in the basement looking for some eggs that the Easter Bunny had hid. See the new carpet and the nice paint on the walls. The new TV came a few weeks later. Boy, do we ever love the extra space.

Here is our family at the Jacob Hamblin home in St. George. Jacob Hamblin was a Mormon settler that Brigham Young sent down to the area to settle disputes with the Indians. Anyways we sat down for a family picture and this black cat came over to rub his tail on Emmie and it scared her to death so here is a picture where only mom and dad are looking.

The Gerber Grand kids on a hike in Snow Canyon.

Emmie, Jason, and Will hiking around up above the city on the red rocks. This was my favorite thing to do.

Here we are having fun.
