The things kids say...

At dinner John was telling the kids something special about themselves. He said "Will your so smart, Emmie you're beautiful, and Jason your just silly." Emmie felt sad and told him, "Girls can be smart too." Yes, Emmie girls can be smart and beautiful.

Will went with his cousin, Cole and his dad to their Grandma Sally's house. Will and Grandma Sally had a conversation that went something like this...

Will- Are you Cole's other Grandma?
G. Sally- I am everyone's Grandma.
Will - Then do you have some ice cream that we can have?

The other day Emmie said to me, "Mom, you have rock-n-roll girl boobs." Don't ask me where that came from.

On Monday Emmie and I were watching "Dancing with the Stars", there was a couple dancing and Emmie said, "Oh mom, when Kadien (Will's primary/preschool friend) gets big I want to dance like that with him." Emmie is so cute and of course beautiful.

Kids are the best and they say the funniest things. We just can't wait to here what Jason has to say.

Due Date!

I guess that I should tell ya all my due date...Sept 5th. I am almost 16 weeks. Maybe the last month of my pregnancy I'll put up a counter, but until then I'll just count weeks. No offensive to anyone but counting days this early would be awful.

Jason

Here are a few pictures of Jason. He is the happiest baby and oh so silly. We love to have him around. He is so good too - he could play all day with Emmie and Will.
He loves his bath, but hates to have his hair washed. I'll say "Jason show mom how you can swim," and he gets down on his tummy and wiggles and smiles huge.

One night Will's helmet was out and Jason kept trying to put it on. He was being so cute and silly.
The box that Jason is sitting in is the box and we put a few DVDs in. He dumped out the box and climbed inside (he almost broke it). Jason is such a fun baby.

"If I could I would..."

John and I have been assigned to be on the ward float committee. In Lehi the wards get to make a miniature float for the primary kids; so look for Emmie to star on the float during roundup days for the city. This year the theme is "If I could I would...". Any ideas?

Turtle Bugs

A few nights ago Emmie had a bad dream about "turtle bugs". So now she doesn't like to go to bed because she is scared. And this morning she told me all about the turtle bugs under her bed. In the night she has come in our bed a couple of times last week. Kids sure are funny. I just wished my bad dreams were about turtle bugs.

"This local call..."

"This local call now requires 10 digits...please redial using the correct area code." Holy Crap how many times have I heard this since Monday morning? Enough times that I should remember by now that I need to dial 801 before calling my mom or sister who live in the same town.

I guess that I am just a complainer. But just last week John and I were teaching Will our phone number. For a 5 year old 10 digits is a lot more than 7. And I mean a lot.

Anyone else have the same feelings?
